Westinghouse Credit Corporation, 129 N.H. 504 (1987); restrict the liability of majority shareholders in a close corporation, Kennedy v. Titcomb, 131 N.H. 399 (1989); modify the trial court's standard of review in civil cases, Renovest v. Hodges Development Corp., 135 N.H. 72 (1991) and narrow the common law duties of municipalities in the performance of public functions including the inspection of construction projects and the design and maintenance of public highways, streets and sidewalks, Imperial Casualty v. City of Dover, 133 N.H. 109 (1990) (Amicus); Island Shores v. City of Concord, 136 N.H. 300 (1992); Schoff v. City of Somersworth, 137 N.H. 583 (1993); Trull v.
