Mr. Staples is experienced in the handling of a broad spectrum of civil rights cases. For example, he was the lead counsel for the defendant in the lengthy litigation and trial of Blake v. Town of Newport, a complex civil rights class action involving the due process claims of welfare applicants and recipients.
In the past year, Mr. Staples has obtained substantial settlements from employers for victims of age discrimination, sexual harassment, and violations of other civil rights.
